FAQs

Are the kits suitable for beginners?

“Yes! I design the kits from the perspective of the beginner embroiderer, but ensure that those who are more advanced may be able to skip through some steps”

Do I need any additional equipment to complete the kits?

”For each kit I’d recommend a hand embroidery hoop (or seat frame) to tension the fabric, and your favourite pair of sharp hand embroidery scissors. My favourites are the Kai Blade Soft Handle Embroidery Scissors.”

How long will it take for my kit to arrive?
”I make sure to post your kits within as soon as possible, being sent via Royal Mail. If you have not received your kit within three weeks, drop me an email at lucymartinembroidery@gmail.com”

How long will my order take to dispatch?

“We work really hard to make sure everything is organised and ready to go as soon as possible from when you place your order. As this is a very small business we ask for your patience in getting your kits shipped out to you and we anticipate that all kits will be received within 3-4 weeks for all regions. As is always the case, I am only an email or Instagram message away to help!”

When would I be entitled to a refund?

“In the rare case of faulty kits where, perhaps, materials are missing or incorrect, we will send out replacement material as soon as possible, though we ask for your patience and understanding that lead times from our suppliers can be quite long. If you change your mind on your kit, you have 14 days in which to let us know. If we can offer you a refund, we would ask that you return the kit to us in its original condition and we would be happy to return the price of the kit (excluding shipping).”

Will my order be subject to import duty & taxes?
If you are outside the UK, your order will likely be subject to import duty & taxes - we ship your kits from the UK and given new regulations and guidance around trade, buyers in both directions (be it to or from the UK) are left to pay import duty & taxes. How much this will be depends on where we’re shipping your kit to and the value of the order.”
